Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hopping Holiday, 1951 Child With Panda, 1939 by Bert Hardy was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2015. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,592.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bert Hardy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Gorbals, Glasgow, 1948, which sold at auction in April 2014 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,781.85).

Die Arbeit Hopping Holiday, 1951 Child With Panda, 1939 von Bert Hardy kam im März 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.592,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bert Hardy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Gorbals, Glasgow, 1948 beobachtet, die im April 2014 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.781,85) versteigert wurde.
