Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Les Antennes by Bela de Kristo was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,775.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bela de Kristo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les fiancés Hongrois, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,203.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Les Antennes von Bela de Kristo wurde im Mai 2015 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.775,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Bela de Kristo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les fiancés Hongrois beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.203,54) versteigert wurde.
