Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Mystic Marriage of Saint Catherine by Battista Dossi was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings auction at Christies in New York in January 2002. Here, the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 76,375.00 (€ 88,870.14). Other works by Battista Dossi have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 111,150.00 (€ 170,620.82) in December 2002 for the work The Adoration of the Magi.

Die Arbeit The Mystic Marriage of Saint Catherine von Battista Dossi wurde im Januar 2002 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 76.375,00 (€ 88.870,14) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Battista Dossi haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 111.150,00 (€ 170.620,82) im Dezember 2002 für die Arbeit The Adoration of the Magi beobachtet.
