In January 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Renaissance, which included the work The Holy Family by Battista Dossi. The result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 74,074.07) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Battista Dossi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Adoration of the Magi, which sold at auction in December 2002 for GBP 111,150.00 (€ 170,620.82).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Januar 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Renaissance durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Holy Family von Battista Dossi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 74.074,07) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Battista Dossi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Adoration of the Magi beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für GBP 111.150,00 (€ 170.620,82) versteigert wurde.
