Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work The Flight Into Egypt by Battista Dossi for GBP 52,500.00 (€ 74,778.45). This price was achieved in the auction Evening Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Battista Dossi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Adoration of the Magi, which sold at auction in December 2002 for GBP 111,150.00 (€ 170,620.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Flight Into Egypt von Battista Dossi für GBP 52.500,00 (€ 74.778,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Evening Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Battista Dossi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Adoration of the Magi beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für GBP 111.150,00 (€ 170.620,82) versteigert wurde.
