This artwork by Barry Le Va achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in February 2019. In the New Now auction, the work Two works: (i) Maroon Felt; (ii) Untitled sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,083.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Barry Le Va; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Three works: (i) Double Drawing; (ii) Untitled (feld & glas); (iii) Sheets to Strips to Particles sold at auction in February 2019 with the realized price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,773.27).
