Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three Forms Assembling by Barbara Hepworth was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year. The price achieved of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,283.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barbara Hepworth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Family of Man: Ancestor II in November this year with an auction result of USD 11,565,000.00 (€ 10,602,310.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Three Forms Assembling von Barbara Hepworth kam im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.283,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barbara Hepworth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Family of Man: Ancestor II im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.565.000,00 (€ 10.602.310,23).
