Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong, which included the work Banana by Baldur Helgason. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 30,240.00 (€ 3,481.16). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Baldur Helgason achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Man Interrupted by an Ostrich in the Pink Room in March last year with an auction result of HKD 756,000.00 (€ 87,028.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit Banana von Baldur Helgason zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 30.240,00 (€ 3.481,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Baldur Helgason erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Man Interrupted by an Ostrich in the Pink Room im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 756.000,00 (€ 87.028,94).
