Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vanity of Vanities by Baldur Helgason was sold in the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. The price achieved of HKD 126,000.00 (€ 14,785.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Baldur Helgason have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Man Interrupted by an Ostrich in the Pink Room in March last year with an auction result of HKD 756,000.00 (€ 87,028.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vanity of Vanities von Baldur Helgason wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 14.785,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Baldur Helgason auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Man Interrupted by an Ostrich in the Pink Room im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 756.000,00 (€ 87.028,94).
