Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong, which included the work If I Had A Hammer (Instructions for Hanging This Painting) by Baldur Helgason. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 478,800.00 (€ 59,744.40), 20% above the upper estimate. Other works by Baldur Helgason have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 756,000.00 (€ 87,028.94) in March last year for the work Man Interrupted by an Ostrich in the Pink Room.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit If I Had A Hammer (Instructions for Hanging This Painting) von Baldur Helgason zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 478.800,00 (€ 59.744,40) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Baldur Helgason haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 756.000,00 (€ 87.028,94) im März letzten Jahres für die Arbeit Man Interrupted by an Ostrich in the Pink Room beobachtet.
