Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Composition on the Game of Chaupad by Badri Narayan was sold in the The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg auction at Sothebys in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,482.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Badri Narayan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 52,908.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Composition on the Game of Chaupad von Badri Narayan wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
