Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition by Badri Narayan was auctioned at Christies in September 2021. The price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,177.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Badri Narayan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 52,908.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Composition von Badri Narayan kam im September 2021 bei Christies zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.177,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Badri Narayan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 52.908,17).
