Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Winged Figure Reclining by Badri Narayan. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,334.45). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Badri Narayan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 52,908.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Winged Figure Reclining von Badri Narayan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.024,00 (€ 3.334,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Badri Narayan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 52.908,17).
