The work "Dåren" (The fool) by Axel Törneman was sold in the Modern Sale auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 160,000.00 (€ 17,730.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Axel Törneman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Ungdom" (Youth), which sold at auction in October 2012 for SEK 600,000.00 (€ 69,779.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit "Dåren" (The fool) von Axel Törneman wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Modern Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SEK 160.000,00 (€ 17.730,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Axel Törneman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Ungdom" (Youth) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für SEK 600.000,00 (€ 69.779,29) versteigert wurde.
