In December 2014 Christies in London held the auction The India Sale, which included the work A Crow by Atul Dodiya. The result of INR 3,000,000.00 (€ 39,170.32) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of INR 3,000,000.00 – 5,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Atul Dodiya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three Painters in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 541,000.00 (€ 380,476.83).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion The India Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Crow von Atul Dodiya zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von INR 3.000.000,00 (€ 39.170,32) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von INR 3.000.000,00 – 5.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Atul Dodiya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Three Painters im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 541.000,00 (€ 380.476,83).
