Sold at the lower estimate price
In September 2020 Christies in New York held the auction A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection, which included the work Winter Light by Atul Dodiya. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,601.64) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Atul Dodiya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three Painters in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 541,000.00 (€ 380,476.83).
