This artwork by Atul Dodiya achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2007. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work Three Painters sold for USD 541,000.00 (€ 380,476.83) - well above the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00. This high result makes Three Painters the most expensive artwork by Atul Dodiya that we have observed at auctions so far.
