Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Lullaby by Atul Dodiya. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 44,100.00 (€ 41,666.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Atul Dodiya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three Painters in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 541,000.00 (€ 380,476.83).
