Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Arthur Rothstein could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Farmer and Wife, Colorado, 1937 changed hands for USD 120.00 (€ 90.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Rothstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Farmer and sons walking in the face of a dust storm, Cimarron County, Oklahoma in April 2001 with an auction result of USD 23,500.00 (€ 26,481.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Rothstein konnte im Februar 2005 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Farmer and Wife, Colorado, 1937 für USD 120,00 (€ 90,40) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00.
