The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,625.00 (€ 2,731.93), 21% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Arthur Rothstein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Farmer and sons walking in the face of a dust storm, Cimarron County, Oklahoma in April 2001 with an auction result of USD 23,500.00 (€ 26,481.86).
