Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (#196) by Arthur Luiz Piza was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. The price achieved of USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,125.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Luiz Piza - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2011 for EUR 133,000.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 44.125,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Luiz Piza mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2011 für EUR 133.000,00 versteigert wurde.
