Admittedly, works by Arthur Leipzig have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Subway Lovers, 1949 in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 21,250.00 (€ 14,687.59).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Ideal Laundry von Arthur Leipzig kam im April 2013 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.278,25) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Leipzig auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Subway Lovers, 1949 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 14.687,59).
