In the Tales of the City: New York Prints and Photographs of the Early 20th Century auction, the work Divers, East River, 1948 sold for USD 5,292.00 (€ 4,882.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Leipzig - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Subway Lovers, 1949, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 21,250.00 (€ 14,687.59).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Leipzig erzielte im August diesen Jahres bei Christies in Sydney einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Tales of the City: New York Prints and Photographs of the Early 20th Century wurde die Arbeit Divers, East River, 1948 für USD 5.292,00 (€ 4.882,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Leipzig mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Subway Lovers, 1949 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 21.250,00 (€ 14.687,59) versteigert wurde.
