It achieved a price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,458.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Dove achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 7,802,500.00 (€ 6,912,820.06).

Die Arbeit Geneva #1 von Arthur Dove wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion Property from the Collection of Harry W. and Mary Margaret Anderson Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.458,10) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Dove erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.802.500,00 (€ 6.912.820,06).
