The work Untitled 3 7/8 x 5 15/16 in. (9.8 x 15.1 cm.) by Arthur Dove was sold in the American Art auction at Bonhams in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 26,775.00 (€ 24,951.08), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Dove achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 7,802,500.00 (€ 6,912,820.06).

Die Arbeit Untitled 3 7/8 x 5 15/16 in. (9.8 x 15.1 cm.) von Arthur Dove wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 26.775,00 (€ 24.951,08) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Dove erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.802.500,00 (€ 6.912.820,06).
