Auction result well in line with expectations
The work George Gershwin--"Rhapsody In Blue," Part I by Arthur Dove was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2019. The price achieved of USD 855,000.00 (€ 766,884.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur Dove have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunset in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 7,802,500.00 (€ 6,912,820.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit George Gershwin--"Rhapsody In Blue," Part I von Arthur Dove kam im Mai 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 855.000,00 (€ 766.884,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Dove auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunset im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.802.500,00 (€ 6.912.820,06).
