Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Still Life, Flowers by Arthur Beecher Carles. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 206,500.00 (€ 159,176.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Arthur Beecher Carles have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2014 the work Composition was auctioned for USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life, Flowers von Arthur Beecher Carles zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 159.176,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Arthur Beecher Carles konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2014 die Arbeit Composition für USD 221.000,00 (€ 177.681,30) versteigert.
