Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Arthur Beecher Carles could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work Abstract Composition changed hands for USD 420.00 (€ 314.04) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Beecher Carles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Beecher Carles konnte im März 2007 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit Abstract Composition für USD 420,00 (€ 314,04) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Beecher Carles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 177.681,30).
