In March 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Valley through the Trees by Arthur Beecher Carles. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,800.00 (€ 5,832.21), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Beecher Carles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30).

Im März 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Valley through the Trees von Arthur Beecher Carles zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.800,00 (€ 5.832,21) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Beecher Carles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 177.681,30).
