Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Channel Cliffs by Arthur Beecher Carles was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in March 2007. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,800.00 (€ 5,832.21). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Beecher Carles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Channel Cliffs von Arthur Beecher Carles wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.800,00 (€ 5.832,21) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Beecher Carles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 177.681,30).
