A top price for Arthur Beecher Carles - as previously expected
In November 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Composition by Arthur Beecher Carles. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Composition is the most expensive artwork by Arthur Beecher Carles that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition von Arthur Beecher Carles zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 177.681,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Composition das teuerste Kunstwerk von Arthur Beecher Carles, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
