Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Portrait of Helen Fleck Seyffert by Arthur Beecher Carles. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,072.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Beecher Carles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Helen Fleck Seyffert von Arthur Beecher Carles zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 11.072,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Beecher Carles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 177.681,30).
