Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work der Zaun (The Fence) by Armando was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 126.00 (€ 114.13). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Armando achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April 2015 with an auction result of EUR 47,100.00.
