Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Roof of the World by April Gornik for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,092.34). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by April Gornik achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Delicate Hour (For My Father) in March this year with an auction result of USD 75,600.00 (€ 69,536.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Roof of the World von April Gornik für USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.092,34) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von April Gornik erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Delicate Hour (For My Father) im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 69.536,42).
