In November 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included this untitled work by Antonio Dias. The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 37,871.62) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Antonio Dias have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Free Continent: Natural Richnesses in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 434,500.00 (€ 333,973.87).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Antonio Dias zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 37.871,62) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonio Dias auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Free Continent: Natural Richnesses im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 434.500,00 (€ 333.973,87).
