Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work "Bryan Ferry, Miami, 1992" by Anton Corbijn was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in April last year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - SEK 30,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at SEK 110,000.00 (€ 10,648.19). Admittedly, works by Anton Corbijn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kraftwerk I-IV, Heads of the Kraftwerk mannequins, Barcelona, 1981 in November this year with an auction result of EUR 44,100.00.
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit "Bryan Ferry, Miami, 1992" von Anton Corbijn im April letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – SEK 30.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit SEK 110.000,00 (€ 10.648,19) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anton Corbijn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kraftwerk I-IV, Heads of the Kraftwerk mannequins, Barcelona, 1981 im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 44.100,00.
