Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Clint Eastwood, Cannes, 1994 by Anton Corbijn was sold in the Photographies & Lothar Schirmer's Glamour Collection auction at Christies in Sydney in November this year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,560.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anton Corbijn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kraftwerk I-IV, Heads of the Kraftwerk mannequins, Barcelona, 1981 in November this year with an auction result of EUR 44,100.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Clint Eastwood, Cannes, 1994 von Anton Corbijn wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographies & Lothar Schirmer's Glamour Collection bei Christies in Sydney versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.560,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anton Corbijn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kraftwerk I-IV, Heads of the Kraftwerk mannequins, Barcelona, 1981 im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 44.100,00.
