This artwork by Anthony Whishaw achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2020. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Village, Sierra De Mongo sold for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,693.81) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthony Whishaw - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blue Still Life, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,045.26).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Anthony Whishaw erzielte im März 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Village, Sierra De Mongo für GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.693,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anthony Whishaw mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blue Still Life beobachtet, die im Juli 2014 für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.045,26) versteigert wurde.
