Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Eucalyptus by Anthony Whishaw. The price achieved of GBP 382.50 (€ 427.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Whishaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue Still Life in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,045.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eucalyptus von Anthony Whishaw zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 382,50 (€ 427,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Whishaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue Still Life im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.045,26).
