Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art including The Studio of Humphrey Jennings, which included the work Artist Model, Painting II by Anthony Whishaw. The price achieved of GBP 504.00 (€ 737.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Anthony Whishaw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blue Still Life in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,045.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art including The Studio of Humphrey Jennings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Artist Model, Painting II von Anthony Whishaw zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 504,00 (€ 737,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Whishaw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blue Still Life im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.045,26).
