Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mirror by Anthony Whishaw was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 612.00 (€ 683.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Anthony Whishaw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blue Still Life in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,045.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mirror von Anthony Whishaw wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 612,00 (€ 683,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Whishaw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blue Still Life im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.045,26).
