The work Bathroom Cabinet by Anthony Hill was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2020. The result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,516.82) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Hill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Relief Construction, August - September 1959 in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 56,398.48).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Bathroom Cabinet von Anthony Hill kam im März 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.516,82) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Hill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Relief Construction, August - September 1959 im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 56.398,48).
