The work Composition 1950 by Anthony Hill was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2007. It achieved a price of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 30,298.71), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Anthony Hill; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Relief Construction, August - September 1959 sold at auction in November 2018 with the realized price of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 56,398.48).

Die Arbeit Composition 1950 von Anthony Hill kam im Juli 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 20.400,00 (€ 30.298,71) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Anthony Hill; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Relief Construction, August - September 1959 im November 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 56.398,48).
