A top price for Anthony Hill - as previously expected
In November 2018 Christies in London held the auction Modern British Art Day Sale, which included the work Relief Construction, August - September 1959 by Anthony Hill. The auction ended at the price of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 56,398.48), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Relief Construction, August - September 1959 is the most expensive artwork by Anthony Hill that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Relief Construction, August - September 1959 von Anthony Hill zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 56.398,48) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Relief Construction, August - September 1959 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Anthony Hill, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
