This artwork by Anthonie Waterloo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2017. In the Old Master Drawings auction, the work A wooded river bank sold for USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,211.23) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anthonie Waterloo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Footbridge Over A Stream, With A Pollard Willow in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,357.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anthonie Waterloo erzielte im Januar 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Drawings wurde die Arbeit A wooded river bank für USD 5.625,00 (€ 5.211,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthonie Waterloo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Footbridge Over A Stream, With A Pollard Willow im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.357,84).
