Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work A Row Of Houses Along The Fortified Walls Of A City by Anthonie Waterloo for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,654.91). This price was achieved in the auction Master Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthonie Waterloo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Footbridge Over A Stream, With A Pollard Willow, which sold at auction in January 2015 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,357.84).
