Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work A Man And Dog By Ramshackle Farm Buildings, At The Edge Of Woods by Anthonie Waterloo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,578.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthonie Waterloo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Footbridge Over A Stream, With A Pollard Willow, which sold at auction in January 2015 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,357.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Man And Dog By Ramshackle Farm Buildings, At The Edge Of Woods von Anthonie Waterloo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.578,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Anthonie Waterloo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Footbridge Over A Stream, With A Pollard Willow beobachtet, die im Januar 2015 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.357,84) versteigert wurde.
