Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Olympian by Anthea Hamilton for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,177.61). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Auction at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Anthea Hamilton have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2019 by the work Ancient Of Days at GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,979.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Olympian von Anthea Hamilton für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.177,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Anthea Hamilton wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2019 die Arbeit Ancient Of Days mit GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.979,60).
