In March 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Ancient Of Days by Anthea Hamilton. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,979.60), 72% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Ancient Of Days the most expensive artwork by Anthea Hamilton that we have observed at auctions so far.
