The work Untitled #8 (Wonder) by Anna Gaskell was sold in the Under the Influence auction at Phillips in New York in March 2011. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,728.69), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Anna Gaskell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled #5 (Wonder Series) in May 2003 with an auction result of USD 33,460.00 (€ 28,437.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled #8 (Wonder) von Anna Gaskell wurde im März 2011 in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.728,69) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anna Gaskell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled #5 (Wonder Series) im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.460,00 (€ 28.437,87).
